Scottsdale School of Ballet is happy to present this year's performance sponsored by the Scottsdale Ballet Foundation. The evening features the perennial favorite, "The Ballet Class", where the audience gets a look into the training of a ballet student, from the beginning steps through the Advanced level.
Next for our one-act ballet, we present a work entitled "La Boutique Fantasque" which follows a group of girls in to a haunted toy shop where fun ensues as the shop becomes animated.
Our "classic" ballet this year for the upper level students is "Paquita", exquisitely restaged by Sibylle Acatos-Dadey and set to the upbeat yet sensuous music of Ludvig Minkus. This work is a highlight in the classical repertory.
In addition, as with every year, we are proud to feature choreography from our wonderful faculty in Flamenco, Character Dance, and Contemporary.
