Scottsdale School of Ballet

Directors Sibylle Acatos-Dadey and Donald Dadey's love of ballet compelled them to open Scottsdale Dance Academy – now Scottsdale School of Ballet – in 2003. Throughout the years, SSB has developed a curriculum that is focused on building technical strength, flexibility, and a love of dance, as well as nurturing artistic development. While the school’s programs are designed with the serious ballet student in mind, SSB attracts students of all ages, with varying degrees of interest and talent, who wish to pursue dance instruction in an inspiring, enriched learning environment.

Our school’s Program consists of Elementary, Junior, and Pre-Professional divisions. Each is intended to challenge students and support their physical, artistic and emotional development consistent with that level. Classes promote a focus on clarity of position and quality of movement, to help strengthen and perfect ballet technique. We also offer a Recreational Program for the upper level students as well as an Adult Program, for those who wish to develop strength and flexibility without too demanding of a schedule.

Mission Statement

Scottsdale School of Ballet will continue to provide the best ballet and dance training by creating a disciplined and nurturing atmosphere, with international teachers and instructors of the highest quality and experience. Where students will learn a love of dance, build confidence and self esteem, and for those seeking the pursuit of either a professional career or a quality dance class, they will be able to excel at their appropriate level.
